Transparency – translucency
Transparent glazes produce wonderful mixed tones.
With transparent colors, you build up your picture in glazes (layers).
Optical mixed colors are created from the overlapping color areas – in contrast to color mixtures on the palette. This creates wonderfully bright and lively color combinations.
Color gradients are painted by increasingly diluting the transparent colors.
Color Circle Art Paints are extremely highly concentrated. You can work with both intense and highly diluted colors.
Color gradients with transparent colors on picture carriers such as paper, wood, etc. remain clear and in the same color tone.
Opaque colors are created by adding opaque white.
The fillers (opaque white, chalks, etc.) cause the colors to become duller and whiter overall.
Color Circle Art Paints can easily be used to make opaque paints: Add opaque white No. 16.
Caution: this white is extremely concentrated!
Paint with COLOR CIRCLE ART PAINTS directly onto the painting surface, as they already contain binding agents.
Dilute with water or binder.
Binder increases the gloss of the paint and improves adhesion, for example on non-absorbent surfaces.
Depending on whether the painting surface is absorbent or smooth, the painted glazes will appear matt or glossy. You can increase the depth and brilliance of matt and opaque colors by repeatedly glazing over them.
